Chillicothe Municipal Court Marriage Records

The Chillicothe Municipal Court does not generate or manage marriage records. That responsibility rests with the Ross County Probate Court, which issues marriage licenses, keeps completed returns, and provides copies to the public.

Individuals looking to obtain these records can contact the probate court at (740) 774-1177 ext 100 if the license was issued within the last 60 days, or (740) 774-1177 ext. 113 if the license was issued more than 60 days ago.

People can also fill out the Public Records Request form and submit it to the following address to order plain or certified copies.

Additionally, members of the public can use the Probate Court's Case Search online portal to view details of marriage license applications, including applicants' names and application dates. Users can access the portal from the court's home page and search by party name, case number, case type, or attorney details.
